“There is no excitement in your comfort box.”- Marla J. Albertie
We have reached part 4 of the 4-part series of ways to have more “me time”this year. I want to discuss doing bold things in the last post. How often do you do bold and scary things? How often do you push yourself? These last five ideas will have you on edge, and, yes I have done them all. I hope you will join me and do something bold this year as well.
- Cruise by yourself

By the time this post is live I will have cruised twice by myself. The picture above is from my most recent cruise as of this blog post. I absolutely love it. You meet so many interesting people. The great part about it is you can stay in your cabin and do nothing or go to every event the ship has to offer (and there are many). No one knows you are cruising by yourself. This is a bold idea for some, but don’t knock it until you try it.
2. Fly to a new city by yourself
I have done this quite often, and I LOVE IT. Like I mentioned, I love to experience different cultures. What better way to do this than to fly to a city you have never been to before. Make sure you plan a trip to a museum or monument.
3. Learn a new skill
Most people would rather die than speak in public. If you want to be a public speaker one day, start by joining a local Toastmastersclub; they will help you with the first-time jitters. This is just an example of a skill you can learn. Try something you have always wanted to learn. You never know where the benefits will lead you.
4. Do something that scares the heck out of you
As crazy as this may sound, I HATE bugs. I normally must ask someone to kill one for me. Let’s say killing bugs is not my cup of tea, and it scares the heck out of me. Since my divorce, I have had to kill them on my own, but I survived!
5. Eat something you normally would not eat
I am normally a very picky eater and will not try new foods. However, I have tried calamari and frog legs, and they were not bad. I can’t say these will be items I will order regularly, but at least I tried them.
WHEW! We did it!

You now have 20 ideas you can implement in your life this year and beyond.
I hope this series helped you to realize your worth and value. I hope you are excited to create your life and carve out time for the one you should love the most, yourself.
Which one of these can you start today?
Let me know…
Keep winning and creating harmony in your life.
