How much do I love myself? – Marla J. Albertie
We are back for week 2 of a 4-part series on ideas to have “me time” this year.
Why not treat yourself?
Let’s talk about this week’s five ideas.
- Exercise regularly
No, I am not a physical fitness coach by a long shot however, I have developed a habit (motivated by a friend) to start going to the gym at a minimum of twice a week. As of this writing I can proudly say I go 2-4 times a week, and I feel great. Exercising can help clear your mind, and this is my favorite benefit.
2. Have a hobby
One of my hobbies is planning. Yes, I am a planner freak, and I even teach a planning 101 class. There is something special about placing stickers on paper that excites me!
3. Go to a movie
I go to the movies at least once a month either by myself or with my cousins or friends. It is relaxing, and I love the experience. It is a way to escape from reality.
4. Journal
I am also a journal freak (don’t judge me-I like a lot of things). I have been keeping a gratitude journal on my phone for four years. Each night I write what happened that day which I am grateful for. I also write five words of gratitude each night in a planner that I keep next to my bed.
5. Listen to music

I purchased a record player, and I started to collect vinyl records. I love to come home from work, turn on my record player, and have a glass of wine. This is such a great way to cool down.
I hope you have gained more inspiration to schedule “me time” from these 5 ideas.
Which one of these can you start today?
Let me know…
See you next week for 5 more.
Keep winning and creating harmony in your life.

I started I walking again. I used to workout regularly either walking or yoga but stopped because academic load was high and the challenges of leaving work at a good time.
Then I started reading a book that has nothing to do with school !
That is great! Yes reading away from a topic is good, this is something I am still working on. lol. Exercise does so much for us mentally and physically. Thank you for sharing.
