Hello Awesome Working Woman,
Welcome back to part 2 of our 4-part series of life-changing questions you need to ask yourself this year.
“Be all you can be” does not only apply to the Army. You can be all you can be by asking yourself how can you create a better life.
Use these questions as a guide to add to your life and not subtract.
- Is there anything I don’t like about myself?
Whether you want to get in shape, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even change your attitude towards people, always make sure the changes will be for your own benefit.
- Who do I need to forgive?
This one will take some time to think about. You need to forgive people in your heart and move on. You don’t have to announce it to the world. You will be happy you did this.
- What habit do I need to break right now?
Whether it is eating sweets (my issue), having too much phone-time, or watching too much television, you know what you need to do. Create a “stop doing” list today.
- What habit do I need to start right now?
If you start this new habit how will it add to your life? How will it make you a better person? Create a “start doing” list today.
- Do I need to set aside time for myself?
Nurturing yourself is the key to everything in life. If you don’t nurture yourself who will? (Check out my posts on Me Time).
- Is there anything causing me stress?
Is there a stressor or trigger in your life? Do you need to create a boundary to get rid of it? Creating boundaries in your life gives you control of what negative and positive energy you allow to come in and out of your world.
- How are the opinions of others influencing my decisions about what I want in life?
In what direction is the opinion of someone else going to take in you life? Up or down? People can only take you one of two places, up or down; they will NEVER leave you where you are.
- What are 5 things I want to try?
Do new and exciting things; you never know what the result will be or how it can change your life for the better.
- Do I need to meditate?
If so, start small. Take a one-minute break, and take three deep breaths, and focus on your breathing.
- Am I okay with doing things on my own?
It is okay to treat yourself to dinner or a movie and go alone. If you don’t like your own company, who will?
Maybe your life is great and you have many things you are excited about, trust me I understand. However, it never hurts to do a self-evaluation of where you are in life. Take time and define what does having a “better” life mean to you?
Grab your journal and write down your thoughts.
Keep winning and creating harmony in your life.
