Hello Awesome Working Woman,
Welcome back to part 3 of our 4-part series of life-changing questions you need to ask yourself this year.
This week is about being happy.
Are you happy? Happiness is a state of mind. No one can make you feel happy. You must feel it from within. Happiness is an emotion that can be triggered by things you care deeply about.
Ask yourself these questions to gauge your level of happiness.
- What am I doing for myself?
Is there something more you want to do?
- Am I happy with where I am today?
It’s a loaded question, but you should answer it.
- What makes me happy?
Do more of what you love and you will add to your happiness
- How can I do more of what makes me happy?
Write a list of what makes you happy and do something on the list each week. Be intentional about it. Make your own 52 Weeks of Happiness challenge.
- What motivates me?
It’s an answer you must discover for yourself.
- Do I fill others bucket more than I fill my own?
If so, why?
- Do I celebrate what I accomplish?
If not, how can you?
- Are the people in my life positive?
A popular saying is “we are the sum of who we hang around.” Something to think about…
- How do I stay in the flow?
When you are “in the flow” you are so focused on where you are in the current moment nothing else seems to matter.
- How grateful am I?
You create value in what you appreciate. How can you show more gratitude and appreciation?
Being happy does not just magically happen, it is something you must be intentional about. I love to walk around in book stores and review what new books are coming out; it makes me happy. The bookstore will not come to me, I have to go to the bookstore (even though there is Amazon).
By answering the questions above you can come one step closer to creating happiness in your life.
Grab your journal and write away.
Keep winning and creating harmony in your life.
